Tour A Forest Canopy Via Aerial Trams

Much of the country's biodiversity is placed at the forest canopy level. This is the level of any forest system that receives the most light, and hence most nutrition. If you really want to find out and experience just how biodiverse Costa Rica really is, it is important that you see the species living in the topmost level of Costa Rica's national parks.

Fortunately, there are a number of ways for you to see the forest canopies on your own. Aerial trams allow you to have this kind of view, while at the same time have a quiet and entertaining tour of Costa Rica's forests along with the tours' knowledgeable guides. They all make up for a remarkable experience among the treetops. There are a number of these kinds of tours for each of Costa Rica's national parks.

Chief among them is the Arenal region and Arenal's Sky Tram. The Sky Tram is located just outside La Fortuna and brings you up to 4,000 feet on the top of the highest forest point in the Arenal Rainforest Reserve. As you go up the treetops, you will see, among others, monkeys, sloths, and other species living among the tree crowns in peace. After the aerial tram tour, you can then proceed to have a more intimate view by joining a zipline canopy tour.

The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is another excellent spot for canopy tours. There are two aerial canopy tours available in Monteverde: a slower-paced tram and an adrenaline-pumping one. If your goal for the trip is to take it slowly and become more engaged with your surroundings, the slower ones is for you. If you prefer real adrenaline adventure, then the faster one is recommended. Hanging bridges and zipline tours await you at the end of the tram line.

Other places where you can have these canopy tours include the forest reserves in Jaco and the Central Valley.You really won't run out of options as far as canopy tours are concerned.
