More often than not, people come to Costa Rica because of the beaches. They surely beat the hell out of the beaches in the US, where the weather can remain particularly cold even in the middle of the summer.

But don't just waste the waters of Costa Rica. Don't just stand by the beaches and watch as other tourists have fun. You can always bask under the sunlight of the Costa Rican sun, but it's always best to have your own body dipped in the cool waters of the Costa Rican beaches.

And when you're done with swimming, go surfing. Like swimming, it's a very healthy sport. It also gives you a good tan, and it's fun to do. Don't waste the waves by merely swimming. Go surfing and ride on Costa Rica's long, glassy waves. Then tell me how you will never look at ocean waves the same way again.

If you don't know how to surf, here's one surfing school for you. The Green Iguana Surf Camp, according to them, does not teach you plain surfing. It teaches you how to love the sport, and it teaches you how to love the beach. It teaches you how to ask yourself how you had been able to live years away from Costa Rica's warm waters. The teachers here are all life-guards, so there's nothing to be afraid of. They teach people of all ages and types.

The surfing school has a 3-day workshop that teaches you the basics of surfing. It reinforces surfing in your mind through repetitive action. You will be required to do the same actions over and over again until your body "memorizes" it and you don't have to think about particular movements that you have to do for certain scenarios. That sounds fair enough.
