The Best Way to Travel Around Costa Rica

There are many ways by which you can travel around Costa Rica. For first-time travelers here, the most intuitive option is to rent a private car. However, rental fees in this country can be pretty steep while the roads are not exactly that good. There's also the possibility that you might get stranded in the middle of nowhere, probably inside one of those wilderness parks.

They may be the slowest way to get yourself around the country, but riding the bus, I think, is the best option that you have. Not only is it cheap, it's also the most scenic path to take. It is also a great way to mix with the other travelers and meet new people along the way. Sometimes it may take hours to get from Point A to Point B, but I swear it's all worth it you want to see more out of Costa Rica.

I actually saw a website here specializing in tourist buses all over the Guanacaste province. It's interesting in the sense that it talked about Guanacaste being a very good place in to do a bus tour. Using a tourist bus, you won't only get to see some key destinations in any given region, but also get to discover new gems along the way. Most of these buses even have drivers that speak either English, Spanish, or both, so communication won't be a problem.

I am a frequent bus traveler myself, though I don't do it much for the scenery but actually for the sleeping period. From time to time, however, when the views of Costa Rica attract me, I get to the window of the bus and start to admire whatever it is that the Costa Rican scenery has to offer. Try it out sometime, too, and discover the beauty hidden beneath the surface of Costa Rica.
